During the consultation, your doctor will ask you questions about the pattern and progression of your hair loss and examine your scalp and hair. She may gently pull out a few strands of hair for laboratory testing. Your doctor will also examine the skin and nails of your head, neck and body for signs of other medical conditions that can cause thinning hair or baldness. These include systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus), syphilis, thyroid disease, a sex hormone imbalance, and nutritional deficiencies of iron, zinc, protein or vitamin D.서면탈모
